Rabbi Rrickner Gets Medal for Merit

In

Cleveland, chairman of the administrative committee of the
National Jewish Welfare Board's (JWB) committee on army
and navy religious activities for his services to the United
Nations during the war. The decoration is the highest civilian
award conferred by the President of the U.S. on those who
served with special distinction in the war effort. As a repre-
sentative of the Amercian Jewish community, Rabbi Brickner
made an extensive tour of five war fronts.

here to employers of the nation
in general and to those of the
Huntington Park area in partic-
ular.
Twenty-four disabled persons
presented an affirmative answer
—not through words alone but
through the actual demonstration
of skills.
Factory owners, businessmen,
executives and merchants saw a
blind man operate a lathe with
accuracy and certainty; saw a
one-armed veteran pound a type,
writer with the speed of an effi-
cient stenographer; saw a leg-
