the Committee to Repeal the
'Callahan Act, charged.
The ectrnmittee, sponsored by

"The administration in Lan-

Anderson. "This is far from

BASLE, (JTA)—Dr. Chaim
Weizmann, addressing a meet-
ing here to mark the 50th an-
niversary of the Zionist move-
ment, told a cheering audience
that he hoped that the
UNSCOP would be the last
commission to investigate • the
the Palestine situation, "because
we have stated repeatedly what
we wanted."
Thanking the Swiss author-
ities for their continued friend-
liness to Zionist aspirations and
Swiss Jewery for the honor
accorded him in inviting him
to speak, Weizmann traced the
history of the movement from
the time of the publication df
Herzl's "Judenstaat" up to the
current concernt of the Jews
throughout the world for the
Exodus refugees.
The meeting hall was decor-
ated with Zionist flags and a
huge picture of Theodor Herzl
hung over the rostrum. At-
tending the meeting were sev-
members of the Zionist actions
eral veterans of the first -Zion-
ist Congress and a group of
committee, who came here by
special train from Zurich.
