Charlevoix, Mich.

DEAR BOSS:
I don't want to come home .
I've got into that 1-a-z-y feeling
where I just want to bask on
the soft sands all day, soak up
the sun's rays and let my mind
wander among the clouds and
azure skies.
Charlevoix is a restful spot.
Throughout the town there is an
air of cleanliness and prosperity.
The sandy Lake Michigan beach
is picturesque as it stretches end-
lessly along the coast, with the
deep blue clear waters lapping
along its edges stirring up a de-
lightful and refreshing breeze.
Sunning. dancing, boating, fish-
ing and dining fill up one's pro-
gram. Beach parties in the even-
ing have been mighty popular
among the younger set.

BOAT RIDE

A bunch of us landlubbers
rented a cruiser to explore the
exciting realm of King Neptune

in Lake Charlevoix. There's noth-
ing like a boat ride under the
stars . . . and the invigorating
breezes boost the appetites.
Singing songs as the boat sped
along its way were Harold Good-
man and Bluma Schreiber, Chuck
Schwartz and Katie Goodman,
Bill Mersky and Shirley Dublin-
sky, Herb Solt and Madeline
Kaufman. Bev Trager beat a
dance lode in time to the waves
splashing alongside the boat.

The political program helps in-
form the American public of the
injustices being done to the Jew
in Palestine, he declared in citing
an example.

"As I make this statement,"
Jacobs said, "the local newspa-
pers are carrying headlines 'Jews
Massacre Arabs in Palestine.'
But you and I know that Jews,
even driven to the severest ex-
tremism, are not capable of mas-
sacring anyone. Yet our Gentile
friends, misled by British pro-
paganda, see fit to release news-

papers with defamatory headlines
of this kind."

Jacobs said that contributions
to the fund are vitally important
now to inform the American
public of the justice of the Jew-
ish position and to expose the
British -.injustice in Palestine.
