FEUERMAN At a candlelight ceremony in the Hotel Statler, Marion Topper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Topper of Greenlawn, became the bride of George G. Feuerman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Feuerman of Fairfield avenue. Rabbi Harold N. Rosenthal solemn- ized the bridal. Mrs. Mickey Shapiro, the bride's aunt, was matron of honor. Mary Topper, another aunt, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lillian and Gertrude Feuerman, Lenore Atlas and Ricky Silber. Arnold Feuerman, the groom's brother, was best man, and Lee Goren, Frank Sax, Gorden Meisner and Bernard Kemper were ushers. Bede Feuerman was junior bridesmaid and Ronald Topper, junior usher. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. Benjamin Bagdades Home from New York Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bag- dade of Ilene avenue have re- turned from New York where Mr. Bagdade attended the na- tional meeting of the United States Olympic Association. Mr. Bagdade is a member of the five-man board governing the 1948 ice-skating Olympics. He is also vice-president of the Amateur Skating Union of the U.S. The Bagdades also visited their sons, Jack and Walter, who are spending the summer at Camp Tamakwa. Haifa Group Tells Plans for 1948 Haifa chapter, Zionist Organi- zation of Detroit, formulated plans for the coming year at its last board meeting at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Kazdan. Dr. Bernard Weston and Her- man Kazdan, of the membership committee, announced that since the Palestine difficulties have posed grave problems for all Zionists, a full-scale membership drive will be undertaken. Mrs. I. Walter Silver, program chairman, outlined the year's so- cial activities which will include guest speakers. The educational group under Mrs. A. Betrothal Told The annual picnic for the res- idents of the Jewish Home for Aged, sponsored by• the Wom- en's Auxiliary Service Group, was held as a lawn party on the Home's grounds. Sam Barnett entertained the group with his clarinet, playing Rdssian and Jewish songs. Among the residents who par- ticipated on the program were Abraham Meltzer, Mrs. Jennie Camiener, Samuel Wolson and Abraham Glassman. They sang songs and danced the Russian Shaar and Kazatska.
