part of the drive to reconvert a
four-family flat into a home for
refugee orphans. The proposed
home will be at Richton and
Dexter.
Mrs. Rottenberg has been for
thirty years one of the most tire-
less workers in Jewish charities.
In 1918, she helped organize the
Detroit Hebrew Orphan Home
and in 1920 she founded the
Baby Day Nursery.
She organized the Beth Jacob
Religious School for Gins and
has been a worker on behalf of
the Yeshivah kindergarten.

District 6 Trustee

Mrs. Mollye Bank, past presi-
dent of the Louis Marshall chap-
ter, Bnai Brith, was appointed
trustee to the Women's Grand
Lodge District 6 at its recent
convention in St. Paul, Yetta
Yates, newly elected president
of the Marshall unit, reveals.

Mrs. Bank has been active as
Hillel chairman in her own chap-
ter as well as in the Greater
Detroit Women's Council.
At a special fund-raising meet-
ing last week, Rose Gurwin,
chairman, announced the pro-
gram for the coming year which
will be highlighted by a ball
Nov. 28, sponsored by all the
chapters in the women's council.
