OPENS GEORGIA OFFICE In January, 1944, with financial backing or less than $4,000, Miss McLachlan opened the Georgia regional office of the National Conference of Christians and Jews in Atlanta and since then has served as its director. Under her guidance, the con- ference has an active program in Ave Georgia cities and an en- couraging correspondence contact with schools, churches and lib- raries throughout the state of Georgia.
