Troth Is Told at Family Dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Himelhoch
of Flint were hosts at a family
dinner in honor of their 25th
wedding anniversary.
At that time, they announced
the engagement of their daughter
Sylvia to Marcus W. Edelstein,
on of Mr. and Mrs. Max Edel-
stein of Huntington Woods.
The bride-elect was honored at
a luncheon and personal shower
by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Irwin
Himelhoch of Flint.

Richard Wechslers
on Wedding Trip

Dr. and Mrs. Richard L. Wechs-
ler are on a trip to Florida fol-
lowing their wedding April 12 in
Pittsburgh.
Both the groom and his bride,
the former Marjorie Wayne, are
of Pittsburgh. Dr. Wechsler. has
visited frequently in Detroit.

Marjorie Silberblatt
to Sing in MSC Recital

Marjorie Silberblatt, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron A. Silber-
blatt of Chicago boulevard who is
a voice student at Michigan State
College, will present her senior
recital Sunday, May 4, in the MSC
music auditorium.
Miss Silberblatt will sing a group
of French, German, Italian and
modern American songs. She i3
studying under the direction of
Prof. J. Herbert Swanson and will
graduate in June.

avenue have returned from an
extended trip to the South and
West.

Mrs. Milton Miller of Penning-
ton drive and Mrs. Harold
Schwartzman honored their niece
Lila Rosen, on the occasion of her
17th birthday at a party April 1 1 3,

for 20 guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jacobs of
Hazelwood avenue announce the
homecoming of their son Bertrand
from the United States army. He
had been stationed in Manila.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Raskin
of Rochester avenue have re-
turned from a fortnight's stay in
Miami Beach.

Flint Couple Marks
25th Anniversary

Barbara Frances Levin, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Levin of
Romeo, Mich., was united in mar-
riage Sunday at the Park Avenue
Hotel to Harry Goldsmith, son of
Abe Goldsmith and the late Mrs.
Goldsmith.
Mrs. Harry Pinsky of Alpena
was matron of honor and Rayette
Harris was bridesmaid.
Ushers were Hershel Levin and
Morton Levin, brothers of the
bride, and Bill, Jack and David
Kaufman.
Mr. and Mrs. Goldsmith left on
a wedding trip to New York City.
From there they will go to Flori-
da and Cuba.

Frank Bernstein of Oak drive
has returned from a five-week stay
in Miami Beach.





Mrs. David Green of Tyler ave-
nue has returned from a sojourn
in Miami Beach.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gordon of
Glendale avenue are in Hot
Springs, Ark.

Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gilbert of
Fairfield avenue have returned
from a visit to New York City.

MARGIE LOUISE ARONSSON
The engagement of Margie Louise Aronsson to Philip Gross was
announced at a family dinner by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
Aeousson of Chicago boulevard west.
Mr. Gross is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Gross of Minnea-
polis. He resides at the Hotel Book Cadillac.
The bride-elect attended the University of Illinois and received
her degree from the University of Michigan. She is affiliated with
Sigma Delta Tau. Her fiance attended the University of Minnesota
and was graduated from the Catholic University of America with a
B. S. degree.

home of the Harry Shulmans of
Webb avenue following Mr. Shul-
man's election as president of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.

Mr. and Mrs. William Budman,
who are vacationing in Miami
Beach. are expected to return
shortly.

Mrs. George Freedman of Whit-
more road has returned from a
two-months' vacation in Miami
Beach and Hollywood, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rodin
and daughter Gloria have returned
to their home in' Los Angeles, af-
ter a visit in Detroit.

Back from a 10-day visit in
New York are Dr. and Mrs. Al-
bert H. Krohn.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fivenson,
their daughter Mrs. Harry Pinsky
and grandson Edward returned to
their home in Alpena after spend-
ing the past week in Detroit.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Franklin of
Steel avenue have returned from
a trip to New Orleans, Varadero
Beach and Havana, Cuba.

Dr. and Mrs. Emil Rothman of
Glastonbury road have returned
from a trip to Havana, Cuba.

Mr. and Mrs. Nedwin Smokier
of Woodingham drive entertained
April 20 in honor of their new
son, Peter.

The English Room of the Hotel
Statler was the scene last Satur-
day of the marriage of Bobbie
Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Oshie I. Baker of Chicago boule-
vard, to Harry Miller, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel B. Miller of
Highland avenue.
Mrs. Charles Perlman, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor. An-
other sister, Miriam, was maid of
honor. Max Miller, the groom's
brother, was best man and Saul
Miller, also a brother, was usher.
The newlyweds left on a wed-
ding trip to New York and Wash-
ington.
