`Husbands' Night' Set

"Husbands' Night" will be pre-
sented by the University Area
Women's Club Wednesday in the
home of Mrs. Philip Hellman,

Judah Drob, who wrote the
script for the movie short, "Let's
Live Democracy," will be guest
speaker. His topic will be "The
Immigrants' Contribution to the
Labor Movement In the United
States."
Mrs. Joseph M. Markel is pro-
gram chairman and Mrs. Harry
Nachman club president.

An exchange. of letters between
pupils of the advanced classes of
the United Hebrew Schools and
those of Palestine has been ar-
ranged by the staff of the UHS.
This idea has been projected
by the National Council for Jew-
ish Education in cooperation with
the Jewish National Fund.
Dr. Azriel Eisenberg, director of
the Hebrew school system of
Philadelphia, has been appointed
to head this project in America

Albert Pilnick has been elected
president of the newly-organized
Junior Young Peoples Group, spon-
sored by the Sisterhood of the
Northwest Hebrew Congregation.
Other officers are Audrey Racy,
vice-president; Beverly Shapiro,
recording secretary; Betty Lebo-
witz, financial secretary; Rhoda
Kramer, treasurer; and Dwight
Pollack, sergeant-at-arms.
