Girl Scouts of Shaarey Zedek
are celebrating the 35th anniver-
sary of girl scouting in America

Girl Scout Troop No. 47, and Mrs .
Albert Green, leader of Brownie
Girl Scout Troop No. 600, an-
nounced that Girl Scout Sabbath
services will he held Saturday
morning, March 15, in the Syna-
gogue.
The Troops of Shaarey Zedelr
have been recognized as two of
the outstanding in the city and
have been lauded for their work
by scout headquarters. Mrs. Baum
is assisted by Mrs. Jules Klein
and Mrs. E. Ira Falk. Assisting
Mrs. Green is Mrs. Max Horwood.
Shaarey Zedek Boy Scout
Troops 104 and 164, Cub Scout
Pack 104 and Explorer Scouts
104 will participate with the girls
in the services Rabbi Morris Ad-
ler will prettch the sermon.
Plans are completed for the first
joint dinner-dance of the Sister-
hood and Men's Club of Temple
Israel, Mrs. Samuel Blacher, sis-
terhood president, announced.
The affair will be held at 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 22, in the Hotel
Statler, with Phil Brestoff playing.

and Barney Barnett, co-chairmen,
are Mrs. Arthur Haas, Mrs. S.
Keene, Maurice Levin and Joe
Silver.

In a candlelight ceremony March 5 in the crystal ballroom of
the Hotel Book Cadillac, Ethel Janet Moss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Sydney Moss of Pennington drive, was united in marriage to Murray
Frant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Frant of Wisconsin avenue.
The bride was attended by Mrs. Melvin Moss, matron of honor;
Phyllis Rubin, Iris Kerner, Iris Rosenblum and Leone Rosenblum,
bridesmaids; and June Moss, junior bridesmaid. Melvin Moss, brother
of the bride, was best man and ushers were Milton Gilman, Jerry
Sklar, Paul Feinberg and Jerry Weingarden.
Following the ceremony, the guests adjourned to the Italian
gardens for the reception and later to the grand ballroom for dinner.
After an extended honeymoon in Florida, the couple will reside in
Detroit.

Launching the special gifts phase
of the women's division's partici-
pation in the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, Mrs. John C. Hopp, chair-
man of special gifts, will enter-
tain workers in her section at a
dessert luncheon. The luncheon
meeting will be held at 1:30 p. m.
Friday, March 21 at Mrs. Hopp's
home, 2535 Boston boulevard.
In addition to planning special
gifts activities, the workers at-
tending will pledge their contrib-
utions to the campaign for $5,335,-
000. Special guest at the meeting
will be Mrs. Barbara Lawrence
of New York, who will discuss
women's activities nationally on
behalf of the United Palestine
Appeal.
