Alexander Moss, the Northwest
University Chapter of the Zionist
Organization of Detroit will be
out in full force to enroll new
members in the "Fight Bevin"
drive Sunday, March 23.
Over 100 of its members will
meet at Peacocks Delicatessen,
18603 Livernois, for a breakfast of
bagel-lox-cream cheese and cof-
fee, after which they will go out
in teams of two to enroll new
members in the northwest district.

Drive's Workers
to Get Training
in AJC 'College'

The "College of Campaign
Knowledge," an entertaining form
of instruction in the art of solicit-
ing for the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, will be presented by the
women's division at 12:30 p. m.
Wednesday, March 26 in the Jew-
ish Community Center.
Following a luncheon meeting,
Abe Sudran, associate director of
the Jewish Welfare Federation,
will take up the instructor's gavel
for the first class--an information
quiz at which scholar's will receive
answers to the "why, when, where
and how" of campaign soliciting.
The quiz program was prepared
by Mrs. Alexander W. Sanders
and Mrs. Philip R. Marcuse.
Second session of the day will
be a skit done In the current
psychological comedy-drama man-
ner. Conceived and written by
Mrs. Leonard T. Lewis, assisted
by Julian Zeman, the skit deals
with the trials and tribulations, as
well as triumphs, of a campaign
solicitor.
Volunteer workers are urgently
needed for the 1947 Allied Jewish
Campaign to raise $5,335,000. To
enroll as a worker, and in the
"College of Campaign Knowledge,"

baum, organizer and founder of
Mlawer Umgegend Vercin, will be
celebrated at the 13th anniversary
banquet of the club at 6:30 p. m.

men's Division of the American
Jewish Congress will be elected
at a meeting at 11:30 a. m. Wed-
nesday in the Jewish Community
Center.
A luncheon will follow the meet-
ing with Mrs. Thelma Richman,
national vice-president of the divi-
sion, as guest speaker. Mrs. Ned
Smokier and Mrs. Irwin D. Lap-
pin are in charge of the pro-
gram.
