Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gourwitz
of Sturtevant avenue announce
the engagement of their daugh-
ter Shirley to Dr' Irving Levitt,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Levitt
of Sturtevant avenue.
Both are graduates of the Uni-
versity of Michigan. The couple
is planning a late spring wedding.

be Leo Lania, journalist and radio
commentator.

ciation divisions.

Juniors to Present
Comedy Show at
Meeting March 13

The Junior Service Group "Va-
rieties," an original comedy show
written and directed by Harvey
Lipsett and Bill Goll, and featur-
ing Betty Kowalsky, Frances
Bloom and Danny Raskin, will
be presented at 7:30 p. m. Thurs-
day, March 13, at Shaarey Zedek.
Miss Kowalsky, pianist, and
Miss Bloom, soprano, made their
musical debut together in Chicago
last year. Raskin, local columnist,
has M.C.'d many recent programs
in Detroit.
Other JSG members included
in the cast are Tommy Balkan,
Alice Berman, Dorothy Commitch,
Tillie Feinbloom, Ruth Felsot, Be-
verly Goldfine, George Goldfine,
Goll, Betty Greenfield, Hershel
Levine, Lipsett, Mitchell Mande-
berg, Jean Quidd, Iris Seigal and
Bob Weinberg. Chairman for he
program is Hershel Levine.
Dancing and refreshments will
follow the show. All Junior Serv-
ice Group members are invited.
Young Jewish adults may join

door the evening of the meeting.
