The engagement of Sally Elaine
Lichtig to Robert I. Sherman, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Sherman
of Bay City, has been announced
by the bride-elect's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Allen D. Lichtig of
Glynn court. -
The betrothal was revealed at a
party, at which Annette Shenker,
former room-mate of the bride-
elect at the University of Mich-
igan, was hostess.
The couple are planning an
early spring marriage.

Two bridal showers have been
held for Myra DeRoven, whose
marriage to Carl Gornbein will
take place March 2 at Congrega-
tion Mini Moshe.
Mrs. S. K. Kirshbaum, the bride-
elect's aunt, was hostess at the
Wilshire Hotel, and on Wednes-
day Mesdames Sam, Abe and Ber-
nard Gornbein and Mrs. Marcus
Forden were hostesses at Zack's
Catering Co.
Among the guests were Mrs.
Louis Gerbie and Mrs. Ben Greene
of Toledo.

Dr. and Mrs. M. S. Perlis and
daughter Corinne of Glynn court
are spending the week in New
York City.

William Rosen of the Belcrest
Hotel has returned to Detroit af-
ter spending four months in Tex-
as, California and Mexico. He is
formerly of Roseville, Mich.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eager
(Thelma Cohn) of Rochester,
N.Y., visited in Detroit this week.
