otic military ball of the Jewish
War Veterans of the United States
in the large ballroom of the Ma-
sonic Temple which has been ac-
claimed by religious, civic and
veterans organizations and per-
sonalities.
Two fine orchestras will play
continuous dance music beginning
at 9 p. m. Flags of all the United
Nations will decorate the ball.

If the contribution Is made In property rather than cash, the fair
market value of the property at the time of the contribution and
not taxpayer's cost is deductible. Thus, if you have any property,
such as corporate stocks, bonds or any other real or personal property
which has increased in value since you purchased it, you may save
paying Income tag on the gain. This is done by giving the property
to a proper charitable organization rather than cash equal to the
value of the property at the time of the contribution.

in Brotherhood Concert

The Detroit Round Table of
Catholics, Jews and Protestants
will present its fifth annual broth-
erhood concert at 8 p. m. Monday
in the Racicham Bldg.
The program will feature the
Detroit Fiddlers' Band under the
baton of Tares Hubicki; the Jew-
ish Folk Chorus under the direc-
tion of Henri Goldberg; St. Da-
vid's Catholic Church Choir of 20
male voices directed by Franklyn
W. McAfee; St. Peter's and Paul's
Russian Cathedral Choir led by
Nicholas Sanin; and the Detroit
Lutheran A Capella Choir directed
by Kenneth .Jewell.
