Nationally known scholars will

the Prophets, Jewish history and
the Jewish way of life.

more ready to attend.

Wohlgelernter Gives
Report on Palestine

The annual dinner of Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah has been set for
Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Fort Wayne
Hotel. It will launch the observ-
ance of the 30th anniversary of
the school which was founded on
May 10, 1917 by the late Rabbi
Judah L. Levin.
The celebration will conclude
with the annual meeting, Thurs-
day, May 8.
Morris Mohr and Abe Nusbaum
are co-chairmen of the 30th anni-
versary journal. Max W. Temchin
is chairman of patron dinner
tickets.

I think more Jewish boys should
look toward the mechanical trades
for a livelihood today, and, there-
fore, I am in
favor of a tech-
nical school
here. Most
young Jewish
men want a

profession and
study to become
doctors and
lawyers.
After they get
their college de-
grees they find the fields are so
full that it takes them years to
build up a name.
Men who are good mechanics
do not have this trouble. There
will always be a place for them
if conditions remain as they are
today. There seem to be many
Jewish boys who realize this and
they should be given the oppor-
tunity to learn a trade.

that a mechanic
ca n go any-

find a job.
I am sure that
many refugees'
who have recently arrived here
would jump at the chance of go-
ing to such a school. There should
also be a great many American-
born boys interested in mechanics.
Although it seems to me that
too many American Jews hate this
type of work, still there arc
enough exceptions. A school should
be set up for that group.
