Aids Infant's Group

THIS IS THE Zionist movement's year of youth leadership. Old
stalwarts have fallen by the wayside, age and conservatism hav-
ing made them visionless and vacillating.
In Detroit, young professional people this week received the con-
stitution to the new Haifa Chapter and next Thursday, Zionists in
the Six and Seven Mile road area will gather at the Northwest Heb-
rew Congregation to establish a vibrant and creative division of the
Zionist district, tile Northwest University Chapter.
Even before its first meeting, the enthusiasm over the founding
of the chapter has reached great
proportions. Most of this is due to
an energetic leader, a man of
great loyalties and vision, Sey-
mour Tilchin, attorney, Hebrew
scholar, teacher and community
worker, who is provisional chair-
man of the chapter.
"I believe in Zionism," he ex-
plained, "because it aims to solve
Jewry's major problem which is
Jewish homelessness. I am de-
lighted to see a youpger and more
dynamic leadership taking over
under the guidance of Dr. Abba
Hillel Silver.
