4417CIU WOULD LIKE to know the origin of my Revisionism?"
I asked our Man of the Week, M. Manuel Merzon, New Zionist
Organization leader. "The fact is that I am not an unadulterated
Revisionist.
"I- used to belong to the General Zionists. As a matter of fact
held office there and I am a member of Mizrachi. But my heart
is in the New Zionist Organiza-
, tion. I have come by my Revisi-
f
onism through the inexorable logic
of events.
'All thoughtful Jews are con-
`cerned about the fate of our peo-
.' ple. The solution of our present
dilemma, like • that of all our
troubles, can only be found in our
'.1131ble. For the Almighty loves His
People; all that he requires, of us
is that we be faithful to His teach-
ings. This is the prime requisite
of our salvation.
We must next master the les-
son of recent years. There is grave
danger that we may forget what
the German vermin have done to
our people. This must never hap-
pen till the end of time.

NEW YORK-More than 5,000

can-occupied zones of Germany
and Austria may be expected to
reach the United States as quota

December, it was reported this

American.
Their arrival will bring the to-
tal number of survivors of Nazism
to reach this country in 1946 from
the American-occupied zones un-
der President Truman's immigra-
tion directive to about 10,000, of
various nationalities and all faiths,

Dr. M. Jacob Joslow, former di-
rector of the Joint Distribution
Committee educational program in
Germany, will speak at the Junior
Service Group meeting at 8 p. m.,
Thursday at Shaarey Zedelt.
Dr. Joslow returned in October
from Europe where he was in
charge of establishing academic
and vocational schools, organizing
trade schools for teachers and
setting up libraries. The rest of
the evening's discussion will be de-
voted to a study of Jewish over-

. "IT IS THE INTENTION of the Revisionists to fight within
1 the Zionist movement to oust the inept leadership which has brought
us to the present sorry plight.
"It would be superfluous to enumerate the failures of the Zionist
leaders. Suffice it to say that they cannot escape responsibility for

stied by the acknowledged heads of the Zionists, the onlji-effe-C
method to save our situation is being employed, under Revisionist
„leadership, by the heroic underground in Palestine, the Irgun,
,, the Sternites and the Haganah. May the Lord of Hosts lend strength
to these defenders of our people as He did to the ancient Maccabees!
"Our first resort here in support of these fighters must be to
cultivate and solidly American public opinion for a Jewish Palestine.
The American people are friendly toward that object and Britain
Must not be allowed to weaken that friendship.
•
"NOT THE LEAST of our arms must be those found in our old
arsenal-the synagogue. God will deal with Britain, but we have it
, within our power to hasten that day. What we need now. above any-
• thing else, is a united American Jewry. That union can best be cem-
ented by a return to the God of our fathers, and by supplication for
his help in this hour of crisis.
'
"This is the program of the New Zionist Organization of which
the local chapter is headed by Aaron M. Weisbrot."

with honors and received his A.B. with distinction at the U. of M.
in 1923 and his LL.B. from the Detroit College of Law in 1923.

family, the Rubensteins of Chicago. They have two children, Melvin

"I HAVE FOUND the platform of the New Zionist Organization
eminently responsive to the task ahead. In truth this organization
is new in name only. For it is in direct line of succession to the
- movement as founded by the immortal Herzl, whose heritage was
translated into action by that other immortal among our modern
heroes, Vladimir Jabotinsky, the originator of Revisionism.
"This movement dates back to 1925 when Jabotinsity, disillu-
sioned with the vacillating policies of the powers that be, pro-
claimed the need for a change in Zionist orientation by boldly
demanding a Jewish State on both sides of the Jordan.
"He advocated that the Jews of Europe be evacuated en masse to
Palestine even if that were accompanied with great hardships. With
his truly prophetic vision, he sensed the calamities which had been
looming on the Jewish horizon.
"In 1934, Jabotinsky withdrew from the official movement and
formed the New Zionist Organization comprising the Revisionist and
other militant and religious groups, largely from Polish Jewry.
