greatest vaudeville stars of her

dishe Mame" were the two songs
in her repertoire that sped her
along to fame.
When h e r husband, Maurie
Abrahams died in 1931, Belle re-
tired from show business. She be-
came a lost soul feeling that the
end of the world had come for her
