Greater Detroit
Bnai Brith Council

UNDER THE LEADERSHIP of its new
president, Milton M. Weinstein, the Great-
er Detroit Council has inaugurated an
ambitious program for the coming year.
The Mlle! Foundation at Wayne Uni-
versity, the Anti-Defamation League,
membership and conservation, will receive
special attention.
For the past five years the council has
cooperated with the Masons and the
Knights of Columbus in the annual
Brotherhood banquet which has become
an outstanding yearly event. The Greater,
Bnai Brith will be the hosts this year and
plans are in progress to make this the
most impressive of all such affairs.
This is the seventh year in the life of
the council and' former presidents have
been Jess Feiler, Louis H. Schostak, Har-
ry Yudkoff and David I. Rosin. The pres-
ent officers in addition to Weinstein, are
Sidney J. Karbel, vice president; Alfred
Keats, vice president; Sam Shulman, vice
president; Alvin B. 'Lynn, recording sec-
retary; Maurice Reistman, corresponding
secretary; William Joelson, treasurer, and
Jeanette Sheplow, administrative secre-
tary.
Since the formation of the council, the
following new lodges have become a part
of Bnai Brithi East Side Lodge, Harry B.
Keidan, Louis D. Brandeis, Rabbi Mandell
Zager and the Downtown Lodge.

and if this meeting is an indication of
what is to be, the Brandeis Women will
be one great active group. Mrs. Gutter-
