Ing a healthful vacation at Camp Agudah, Highmount, New York, sponsored by the Agudath Israel Youth Council of America. The camp, which Is operated by the Agudath Israel Youth Council of America, 113 West 42nd Street, New York City, has also admitted a subritantlal number of children who were formerly at the Oswego Refugee Shelter. The above photo shows a number of Jewish.refugee youngsters who have recently arrived In this country, and who are receiving the loving-care and attention at Camp Agudah they need for their physical and spiritual rehabilitation. Home, there will be no displaced Jews anywhere in the world. We are a displaced people and we need a home—that is the motor power of those ships that circle for days and weeks and months, skirting the shores of Palestine and trying to get in—ships of "il- legal immigrants." I don't know of any who have greater justifi- cation to get into Palestine! Against power. ful enemies? No—they are seek- ing to Intercept ships which are carrying to sanctuary the most hopeless, helpless men, women and children, who are seeking a home with a desperate longing unknown in all the annals of na- tion-building. Those British ships should be carrying these people to Palestine! Not only British but American ships ought to be car- rying these refugees to Palestine. You would think, that now, af- ter a Committee of Twelve had finally agreed unanimously that 100,000 should be transferred in 1946, and when this recommenda- tion is an endorsement of the po- sition taken by the President of this country last August — you would think that as soon as the report was made public, the ma- chinery would immediately be set up—that these prisoners of doom would immediately be allowed to go free. Nothing of the sort has happened and nothing of the sort is likely to happen—unless we do something very heroic between now and the next three, four, five weeks.
