is an interna-

on Latin-Amer-

and a widely.
known compos-

cr. The band, which has a tre-
mendous following, inclusive of
society circles, has been featured
at the finest hotels and supper
rooms in America, Canada and
the South American countries as
well as on all the major radio
networks. Enric and his boys are
a'so top recording favorites. Mad-
riguera might just as well have
had Aladdin's lamp considering
all the success lie has enjoyed. At
the age of six, he began studying
the violin. A year later he played
the instrument in a little church
in the town of Llinas, Spain, his
native country, following which he
enrolled at the Conservatory of
Music in Barcelona, and at the
age of thirteen was awarded a
professorship. Some years later in
New York, Enric studied under
the world-famous violin teacher,
Leopold Auer, who aided Heifetz,
Elman and Zimbalist in acquiring
their greatness.
