Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Joseph, of Los Angeles, Calif., announce
the engagement of their daughter, Lillian, to Samuel L. Gurwin, son
of Mrs. Sarah curwin. Mr. Gurwin is a former resident of Detroit,
where he gradated and practiced law, and he is now a prac-
ticing attorney in Los Angeles, Calif. The wedding will take place
at the Ambassador Hotel, on September 8.
The engagement of Gloria Berman, daughter of Mrs. Reba Ber-
man and Louis Berman, to Marvin Kahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. David
Kahn, is announced. The wedding will take place in October.

gagement of their daughter, Betty, to Martin Sorkowitz, son of Mr.
