Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sorkowitz
(Shirley Birnbaum) have returned
from their honeymoon at the Mus-
koka Lodge, Ontario; are now re-
siding at 1670 Calvert.

Dr. and Mrs. Harry Portnay
and family, of Leslie Ave., will
return on July 21 from a two-
week visit hi New York City.

Dr. and Mrs. S. H. Blondy, of
Ohio Ave., have as their guests,
Mrs. Samuel Gaylord and daugh-
ter, Lynn, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Gaylord has already returned
to his home, while Mr. and Mrs.
Gaylord's other daughter, Har-
riet, spent two weeks here and is
now visiting in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Levine, of
Glendale Ave., announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Gloria
Lorraine, to Jerome Arfa, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Arfa, of Blaine
Ave.
Mr. Arfa is a veteran of four
years servicein the armed forces.

Under a great ball of white flowers in the Crystal Ballroom of the
Book-Cadillac Hotel, Carolyn Jeanne Davidson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Davidson, of Canterbury Drive, Palmer Woods, was united
in marriage with Marvin George Alexander, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. W.
Kohn, of Shaker Heights, Cleveland, Ohio. The candlelight ceremony
took place June 30, tvith Rabbi Morris Adler and Rabbi A. M. Hersh-
man officiating.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Robert I. Kohn, of Cleveland, and brides-
maids were Mrs. George Nederlander, Mrs. Benjamin H. Frank and
Barbara Enggass, of Detroit, and Mrs. George A. Frehling, of Louis-
ville, Ky. Robert I. Kohn, of Cleveland, was best man.
A dinner and reception for the 350 guests followed the ceremony.
The couple spent their honeymoon at the Hotel Mt. Washington,
Bretton Woods, N. H.
