Grossin firer Hotel
Begins 32nd Year
FERNDALE, N. Y. - With t h c
July 4th holiday, the Grossinger
Hotel and Country Club here will
begin its 32nd year. The hotel is
now open the year round, but
hack in 1914, when the Grossinger
family bought the farm that has
developed into one of the world's
foremost resorts, it was open for
the summer only. Therefore, the
birthday of the establishment is
marked on the July 4 week-end
each year.
In developing from a farm, the
hotel has undergone a radical
change. Today, the best of every
recreational facility necessary for
an ideal vacation is available. The
high quality of the hotel's enter-
tainment fare is well known.
Many of Broadway and Holly-
wood's luminaries have appeared
on t h e Grossinger Playhouse
stage. The hotel's private 18-hole
golf course is one of the foremost
resort courses of the nation; and
golf stars such as Byron Nelson,
Herman Barron, Craig Wood,
Lawson Little, Johnny Farrell,
and many others, have played on
it.
