Reports from the committee
chairman and present results on
the fund-raising campaign for tier'
purchase of buildings for Wayne
and Michigan State Hillel Foun-
dations will be given. The annual
election of officers of the Council
will conclude the business portion
of the convention. The present
officers of the Council are: Presi-
dent, Jess R. Feller, Detroit; First
Vice President, Rabbi Morton Ap-
plebaum, Flint; Second Vice Presi-
dent, Abe Drasin, Grated Rapids;
Corresponding Secretary, Alfred
W. Keats, Detroit; Recording Sec-
retary, Milton M. Weinstein, De-
troit; and Treasurer, John Merd-
ler, Saginaw.
A Sunday afternoon Banquet
Dinner featuring Louie Pickus,
incoming President of D.G.L. No.
6 as principal speaker will bring

the proceedings to a close.
Arrangements are being made
for round-trip bus transportation
from Detroit leaving Saturday af-
ternoon and returning Sunday
night.

U of M Hillel

Closing its nineteenth year On
'he University of Michigan cam-
pus, the Bnai Brith Hillel FOUI1-
1. 1thin terminated its active pro-
gram for the Spring Semester
with the annual awards and in-
stallation supper. The evening's'
irogram featured the presenta-
ion of awards and scholarships to
outstanding student leaders.
Among the students to receive
Honor Keys for Hillel leadership
were Helen Alpert of Watertown,
N. Y., Judith Chayes of Chicago,
Betty Friedlander of Bridgeport,
Conn., Stuart Goldfarb of Jack-
son, Allene Golinkin oT Chicago,
Benson Jaffee of Cleveland, Bar-
bara Levies of East Chicago,
Edythe Levin of Kew Gardens,
N. Y., Frances Pearl of Newark,

N. J., Dorothy Raskind of Wor-
chester, Mass., Morris Stulberg of
Marshall, Beryle Walters of De-
troit. An Honor Key was also
awarded posthumously to- Muriel
S. Kleinwaks, a former Hillel
member from Hillside, N. J.
Students who received the Hil-
lel Cabinet Award for outstand-
ing leadership during their entire
stay on cantpus were Helen Al-
pert, Judith Chayes, Betty Fried-
lander, Betty Korash of Detroit,
Katherine Sharfnutn of Wor-
cheater, Mass., and Beryle Wal-
ters.
The Milford Stern Forensics
Award was presented to Sam Ro-
sen of Waukegan, Ill. and Morris
Stulberg, The Arnold Schiff Billet
Cultural Prize was awarded to
Benson Jaffee and Morris Stul-
berg.

vention Saturday and Sunday,
June 15 it nd 16. at Fidelman's Re-
sort, South Haven, according to

breakfast, which will be served
to all in attendance, the business of
the convention will get under way
with a full agenda activities
which include reports from Rabbi
