The newly organized Bale Post
of the Jewish War Veterans will
meet at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Apiil
4 at the Jewish Community Cen-
ter. Harry Madison will be the
speaker of the evening.
Pfc. Joseph Louis Bale, in whose
honor the post is named, was
killed January 20, 1945, while serv-
ing with the Seventh Army in
France. Upon graduating from
Central High School where he was
captain of the school basketball
team, Bale attended Michigan
State College until April of 1943
when he was inducted into the
Army. He was the son of Mr. and
