The lecture series is sponsored by the Jewish Welfare Board Committee on Civilian Education which was organized to carry out a post-war service in the local community recommended by the Women's Division of the National Jewish Welfare Board. This pro- gram is intended to help civilians understand the special needs of the veteran as he readjusts him- self to community living. The Jewish Women's Service Club is planning a drive for old linen sheets and old white shirts to be used in making cancer pads and bed jackets for cancer pa- tients.
