BICUR CHOLEM'S 52nd ANNIVERSARY

Seymour D. Eichman

Cpl. Seymour D. Eichman, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Max Eichman,
of Indiana Ave.,
has been hon-
orably discharg-
ed from the Ar-
my after three
and a half years
service. Corpo-
ral Eichman
served nineteen
months over-
seas in England,
France, Bel-
gium, Holland,
Germany, a n d
then direct to
Okinawa. While
serving in t h e
European Theater he was award-
ed two bronze battle stars for the
Rhineland and Central •Europe
campaigns.

Louis Klein

Mr. and Mrs. Louis T. Klein
and son have recently returned
from Sioux Falls, South Dakota,
and are now residing at 10017
Cascade. Mr. Klein, the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Derso Klein, was
honorably discharged from the ar-
my Nov. 9, 1945, after 45 months
of active service. In February,
1942, he interrupted his studies at
the Wayne University College of
Law and enlisted as a private in
the Army Signal Corps. After 12
months' service in the Panama
Canal Zone, he completed the Offi-
cer Candidate School at Miami
Beach, Florida, and was commis-
sioned a Second Lieutenant in the
Air Corps.
As an officer, Lt. Klein worked
in the Personal Affairs Division of
the Air Corps which included ad-
vising and counseling military per-
sonnel and their dependents. At
the present time he is continuing
this type of work in civilian life
by offerng immigration informa-
tion and preparing the necessary
papers for families desiring to
bring relatives to this country
from Europe.

The Bicur Cholem Seniors will
celebrate their 52nd anniversary
with a dinner to be held at the
Bnai David Synagogue on Febru-
ary 24, at 5 p.m.

Cholem has aided the sick and

Technician third class Arthur D.
Behrendt was recently discharged
from the Army after serving since
August, 1942. He served fifteen
months in the Pacific, having been
stationed on New Guinea, Luzon
and the Phillipines. He received
three battle stars and the Philip-
pine Liberation Medal. He resides
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Milton A. Behrendt of the Belcrest.
