United Hebrew School Home Relief To Install
Alumni Renew Activity Officers at Luncheon

The Alumni Association of the
United Hebrew Schools, inactive
during the war period because of
the large number in the ranks of
the United States Armed Services,
has resumed its activities,
Mr. Joseph B. Cotten, an alum-
nus and a member of the Board
of the United Hebrew Schools,
acted as the liaison officer between
the management of the Schools
and members of the Alumni. Mr.
Cotten was responsible for the
initial meeting at which plans
were formulated for future Alum-
ni activities. These activities in-
clude cooperation with the Public
Relations Committee of the Hebrew
Schools. It also includes the for-
mation of a speakers' bureau and
a number of cultural and social
activities.
At the first meeting, which was
held lust Tuesday, provisional ofii-
cera were elected for the ensuing
year as follows: Nathan Shur,
president; Esther Churnes, secre-
tary; Irwin Shaw, secretary execu•
tive committee; Max Chomsky,
chairman speakers' bureau.
At the same meeting plans
were formulated for an extensive
Purim project to which all Alum-
ill members will be Invited.

various activities of the Alumni
