now what excellent brands of

Bill Miller (downtown) carried...
Everything imaginable, all sorts
of cookies and what olives, al-
mond-stuffed, plain, large, small ..
cheese of every conceivable brand
. and Bill caters oodles and
oodles of parties who serve any-
thing and everything in the deli-
catessen line. . . Drop in for a
sandwich or a meal. He's open
daily except Sunday until 6 p.m.

Calling all girls! Calling all
girls! Just those a bit on the
obese side. Have you started that
very excellent 18-day diet in the
Detroit Times, last Monday? There
is so much to eat, too! Even pats
of butter, some potatoes. Get your
back copies if you've missed any.

Looks like high society is step-
ping out with their social events
in full swing at Rosenberg's ('case
you don't know, that's formerly
Pereira's). . . And what a wow of
parties I covered in private homes
that were catered by Al. By the
way, Al, what does the degree,

If you've never seen or heard
B. S. Pally, that's the guy who
played in the pictures "Nob Hill,"
"Greenwich Village," "Wing and
it Prayer," "Take It or Leave It,"
and a world of others, you really
haven't heard fast-moving, a laugh
a second entertainment. . . Every-
thing he does, everything he says
is ad-lib and spontaneous (and
were I to put combustion right
after that, 'twouldn't be far from
right). Heard him in New York
several years ago — sorry I miss-
ed his very lengthy Chicago en-
gagement at the Brown Derby --
and he's some "hunk-o'-man" with
sonic repertoire. . . An occasional
cleansing with "hayse shtainer"
wouldn't hurt. He opened at the
Paddock Club at Miami Beach last
week. And those of you who're
planning a trip there, don't miss
seeing him. He's a wow, but really!
