in the Italian Garden Ballroom

The best man was the groom's

Following the ceremony, dinner
was served in the Crystal Ball-

The Women's Division of the
American Jewish Congress will
hold its next general meeting at
the Lee Plaza on Wednesday, Jan.
16, at 1:45 p.m. Mrs. Anna Shep-
ard, a national vice president, will
speak on "Congress and the Amer-
ican Scene." She will stress the
necessity for the American people
to be constantly on the alert in
the struggle to maintain freedom
and democracy. Mrs. Max Said-
man, cnairman of fund raising,
has announced that this meeting
will be of particular' interest to
captains and workers of her com-
mittee, as well as all those who
have contributed to the fund rais-
ing campaign.

the Displaced Persons Committee,
states that her committee, work-
ing in conjunction with the World
Jewish Congress, has been suc-
cessful in giving information of
European Jews to their relative.,

Seventeen boxes of clothing
were sent to Europe this month
by the Detroit Women's Division.

At the last meeting, which cul-
minated the membership drive,
Mrs. C. Fineberg, chairman of

man and Mrs. A. Katzman, who
enrolled the greatest number of

The monthly meeting of the Cal-
low Family Club was held at the

loff on Webb Ave. The club hon-
ored the return of Lt. and Mrs.
Sidney Freidman. Lt. Freidman
has recently been discharged from

LOWE FAMILY RETURNS
Capt. and Mrs. Adolf W. Lowe
(formerly Adolf W. Lowenstine)
and daughter Nita Diane have re-
opened their home at 3283 Law-
rence after an absence of over
three years during which time
they were together while Capt.
Lowe was stationed at various
posts throughout the Eastern part
of the United States. Capt. Lowe
at present is still stationed at the
Station Hospital, Camp Grant, Ill.
