be featured in renditions of tra-
ditional Chanukah and Jewish
melodies, The pupils of Beth
Jacob School for Girls will pre-
sent an original Chanukah skit
and Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka
will act as chairman. The presi-
dent of Yeshivath Beth Yehu-
dab, Rabbi M. J. Wohlgelernter,
will review the achievements of
the Ladies of the Yeshivah.

The president of the Sisterhood,
Mrs. I. E. Goodman, will pre-
side, while Ben Goldman will
serve as toastmaster.
Preparations for this affair
have been handled by a com-
mittee headed by Mrs. Morris
Rosenberg and Mrs. Louis Kepes.
Mrs. Theo. Curtis has been in
charge of tickets, and Mrs.
Adolph Detusch and Mrs. Regina
Hirsch have taken care of the
table arrangements.

Detroit Pioneer Women
Make Convention Gift

it Plans are well under way for
the Pioneer Women's Organiza-
tion 15th Annual Donor Event
which takes place Tuesday after-
noon, January 8th, 1946 at the
Masonic Temple Auditorium.
This year's Donor will be spe-
cifically dedicated to the Build-
ing and Expansion Fund as set
forth by the Working Women's
Council of Palestine.
The sum of $8,000 was pre-
sented by Detroit delegates to
the Pioneer Women's 9th Na-
tional Convention held this month
in Cleveland, as the first remit-
tance towards their pledge of
$20,000 over and above their an-
nual quota, for the erection of
25 child-care, educational and
vocational institutions to serve
8,000 more children, youths and
women, located at Kfar Saba,
near Tel Aviv, cornerstone for
which has already been laid by
Marie Syrkin, noted journalist.
