(Miss Geraldine Beatrice Goodstein)
On Sunday evening, August 26, Geraldine Beatrice Goodstein,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Goodstein, was married to Major.
Samuel G. Reisman, son of Mrs. Max Reisman. The Shaarey Zedek
Synagogue was decorated with lighted tapers, assorted flowers, satin
ribbon and palms. Rabbi Isaac Stollman and Cantor Jacob Sonenklar
officiated.
The bride wore an ivory-satin gown trimmed in chantilly lace and
a Juliette cap with a fingertip veil, and carried a bouquet of white
orchids. Mrs. Sander Goodstein, the bride's sister-in-law, was matron
of honor, and Dr. Frank Reisman, the groom's brother, was the
best man. Mrs. Frank Steiner, Mrs. Louis Gross and Miss Charlotte
Nelson were bridesmaids, all dressed in blue, wearing hats and bou-
quets of shocking pink flowers. Lt. Sander Goodstein, Capt. Max
Steiner, Louis Gross and Sgt. Sidney Singer were the ushers.
Mrs. Goodstein, the bride's mother, chose a chartreuse crepe gown
and wore orchids. Mrs. Reisman, the 'groom's mother, wore black lace
and orchids.
After the ceremony, a dinner was served for 300 guests and a
large reception followed. Major and Mrs. Reisman left for a visit to
Mexico and will return to Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas, after
their honeymoon.
