Page Twelve Jewish State, No Compromise, Zionists Say (Continued from page 1) Such a request, the con- ference decided, might be interpreted by Britain as a voluntary whittling down of Zionist demands. The conference approved the five-point program recommended by the Political Commission, pre- sented by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver. The five-point program, embody- ing the essentials of the Biltmore program adopted by American Zionists several years ago, reads: 1. Announcement of the estab- lishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. 2. Vestment of the necessary authority in the Jewish Agency to bring into Palestine as many Jews as it may be found neces- sary and possible to bring in to fully and speedily develop the resources of the country. 3. An international loan and other help to be given for the transfer of the first million Jews to Palestine and for the econ- omic development of the country. 4. Reparations in kind from Germany be granted to the Jew- ish people for the upbuilding of Palestine, and that as a first in- stallment all German property in Palestine be used for the settle- ment of Jews from Europe. 5. International facilities be provided for the transit of all Jews wishing to settle in Pales- tine. The text also sets forth the principles of the Jewish State as follows: full equality of rights for all inhabitants without dis- tinction of religion and race, and cooperation with the Arabs of Palestine for the maximum de- velopment of the country in the interests of all inhabitants, and an alliance of friendship between the Jewish State and the Arab peoples in the neighboring coun- tries. Speaking at the closing session, Dr. Abba .Hillel Silver stressed that the forthcoming year would be a crucial one in Jewish his- tory. Speaking with pride of the fact that more than a million Jews had fought in the Allied armies and that tens of thousands of Palestine Jews had joined the British Forces and the Jewish Brigade, Dr. Silver said "we are fortunate in having friendly gov- ernments — America and Eng- land must make an all-out effort to achieve a just solution of the Jewish problem." Following the defeat of a Miz- rachi-sponsored proposal to elect a new executive of the World Zionist Organization, the Mizra- chi leaders declared that they would remain in the executive. Berlin Jews Submit Rio Grande Cafe Opens List of Nazi Atrocities At 1011 Farmer St. BERLIN (WNS) — Leaders of the Jewish community in Berlin submitted a memorandum to the Allied authorities giving a sum- mary of measures taken by the Germans against the Jews, be- ginning with the year 1933 when Hitler came to power. The memorandum was prepar- ed at the request of the Allied authorities who wanted an au- thentic report on the mistreat- ment of Jews by the Nazis. It reveals one instance when the Reichsvereingung of Jews in Ger- many, central Jewish body under the Nazi regime, successfully sa- botaged the Gestapo orders and prevented deportation of 2,310 Jews. It also furnishes the names of many Jewish leaders who suf- fered martyrdom for disobeying Gestapo orders to submit lists of Jews for deportation to extermin- ation camps.
