At a double ring ceremony Sunday evening, July 15, Sherre Zel-
den, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Golman of 3049 Glendale Ave.
became the bride of Lt. Kal Gladstone, son of Mrs. Eve Gladstone
of Cortland Ave. Rabbi Leo M. Franklin officiated at a candlelight
ceremony in the Jefferson Room of the Whittier Hotel. The bride
who was given in marriage by her father and grandfather, wore an
heirloom of brocaded soft white satin, puffed sleeves, with a train
of three and a half yards length. She carried a bouquet of white
orchids and camelias. WAC Florence Nolish was maid of honor. The
bridesmaids were the Misses Rosilyn Rice, Helen Graw, Marilyn
Gladstone, Betty Hordes, Beverly Bogart and Nancy Walters, who
wore gowns of ice blue and carried red roses. Ted Nolan was best
man. Ushers were the bride's brothers, Sanford and Alvin Golman.
Following a dinner and reception for 300 guests in the Pompain
Room of the Whittier, Lt. and Mrs. Gladstone left for a honeymoon
in Northern Michigan.

who have been making their home
in Ann Arbor. are enroute to
Seattle, Wash. Mr. Kahn was in-
stricting for the Army Air Forces
at the B-24 school at Willow Run,
and will begin his new duties as
instructor in the B-29 Superfort-
ress school at Renton field, Wash.
Mrs. Kahn, who was studying at
the University of Michigan, will
transfer to the University of
Washington. She is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. L. Kahn, of

Rabbi Irving Ganz, who has
been in charge of the Temple of
Abraham for the past two years,
will report at Brooklyn, N. Y.,
July 23, for chaplain's service
with the army.
Rabbi Ganz volunteered his
service a year ago and just re-
cently received his orders as
increased need for chaplains in
the armed forces was noted.
While Rabbi Ganz receives pre-
liminary training for chaplain's
work, his family will remain in
Bay City.
