Rabbi Berlin Asks
Revisionists to Join

JERUSALEM (WNS) — Rabbi
Meir Berlin, leader of the Miz-
r a c hi organization, has invited
representatives of the sever al
Jewish parties in Palestine and
members of the Jewish Agency
with a view to discussing the
problem of bringing back the Re-
visionists into the Zionist fold, it
was reported.
These sources said the Mizrachi
leader made the move with the
objective of securing Revisionist
representation at the World Zion-
ist Conference, which is slated to
open in London at the end of this
month.
The Revisionists withdrew from
the world Zionist organization in
1936. The sentiment among ni n ny.
Zionists here is that if the Re-
visionists desire to return they
would find open doors, providing
they agreed to submit to Zionist
policy and discipline.

$25,000 Land in Zion Gets Death Sentence

PHILADELPHIA — A Pales-
tine land redemption project ini-
tiated 11 years ago reached its
fulfillment on June 18 when the
Independent Order of Brith So-
lom, American Jewish fraternal
organization, celebrated the pay-
ment of the last installment on its
$25,000 commitment to the Jew-
ish National' Fund.
Under the terms of the agree-
ment signed in 1934 by the late
Menahem Ussishkin on behalf of
the Jewish National Fund and the
late Judge William M. Lewis, then
Grandmaster of Brith Sholom, a
tract of 1,000 dunams of land in
Palestine was to be redeemed by
the Keren Kayemeth and named
"Nachlath Brith Sholom." This
was the first Nachlah program
undertaken by an American Jew-
ish fraternal organization. Nego-
tiations for a new land redemp-
tion program are now in progress
and the plan is to be announced
at the Brith Sholom forthcoming
convention.
