Backs International
Rule In Palestine
WASHINGTON (WNS) — The
internationalization of Palestine
as part of a long-range program
to settle difficulties in the trou-
bled Middle East was suggested
by the Foreign Policy Associa-
tion.
A report prepared by Grant
S. McClellan of the association's
research staff said that Pales-
tine was emerging from this war
as a world problem and that no
decision could be reached that
failed to take into consideration
the interests of the great pow-
ers in the Middle East.
The Council of Mothers' Clubs
would like to remind its members
that the primary elections for
mayor and city council will take
place on Monday, Aug. 7. Those
who will be out of town for their
vacations on that day may stop
in at the City Hall, Supervisor
of Elections' office, and will re-
ceive an absentee ballot, which
can be filled out there, or sent in
from wherever one happens to be.
The Mothers' Clubs Council
feels that it is more important to
vote in the primaries than in the
general election, and since we all
live under the city government of
Detroit, it is essential that we ex-
ercise our right of franchise by
voting in the primaries.
