STRAUSS — SHAPIRO
Rabbi ,Toseph M. Strauss, acting
rabbi of Beth El Temple, Chicago,
and Miss Elizabeth Shapiro were
married on June 24. The marriage
was solemnized by Rabbis Joshua
S. Sperka, Samuel Rabinovitz and
I. Strauss of Detroit, at Congre-
gation Bnai David in Detroit.
Miss Shapiro is the (laughter of
Mrs. Samuel Shapiro and the late
Mr. Shapiro. She attended the Uni-
versity of Cincinnati.
Rabbi Strauss, son of Rabbi and
Mrs. I. Strauss of Pontiac, at-
tended Wayne University and the
University of Chicago. He was,
ordained a rabbi in 1943 at the
Hebrew Union College, Cincin-
nati. Rabbi and Mrs. Strauss will
reside in Chicago.
