Obituary

DR. LEWIS A. GOLDEN
passed away on the morning of
June 22, in New Orleans, La., af-
ter an illness of three weeks.
Dr. Golden, 41 years of age,
was a graduate of Highland Park
High School, Junior College, and
the Universtiy of Michigan Med-
ical School.
An instructor at Tufts Medical
School and Tulane University, af-
ter study abroad, he was engaged
in the private practice of psychi-
atry and neurology in New Or-
, leans, where he was also on the
Louisiana State Board of Insti-
tutions and consultant to the
Travelers Aid Society.
Surviving him are his wife,
Willa; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. H. Golden of Monterey Avenue,
Highland Park, and Bernard G.,
Marcus G., and David L., brothers.

disregard for personal safety, left
his covered position and carried
his squad leader through intense
enemy fire to an aid station. By
his heroic actions in the face of
grave danger.
