on Chicago Blvd., Sunday after-
noon, June 3, for the marriage

for 100 guests.
The bride was gowned in ice-
blue satin, fashioned on simple
princess lines. Her blue finger-
lip veil fell from a blue satin
baby bonnet, studded with pearls.
She carried a bouquet of white
orchids.
Mrs. S. D. Jacobs, sister of
the bride, was her only attend-
ant, in blue dinner gown, and
carrying deep purple orchids.
Pala gowns were the choice
of limit mothers, with lighter
orchids.
Copt. Dickman and his bride
will be at home on Chicago Blvd.

Miss Betty Deutsch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deutsch
of Northlawn Ave.. became the bride of Joseph Brod, U. S. C. G.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Brod of Northlawn Ave., Sunday,
May 20, at the Bnai Moshe Synagogue.
The bride was gowned in heavy white satin trimmed with
nude lace and seed-pearling. Her veil was held in place by a
sheared tiara. She carried white calla lilies. The matron of honor,
the groom's sister, Mrs. Louis Berman, was gowned in salmon pink,
and the bridesmaids, Freda Rosenblatt, Viola Shogan, Gloria Weind-
ling and Edith Breyer of New York City, wore ice blue taffeta
gowns with matching headdresses and contrasting pink rose
bouquets.
Mrs. Deutsch, mother of the bride, wore a gold crepe gown
with a deep toned orchid, and Mrs. Brod, mother of the groo
wore an aqua crepe dinner gown with a deep toned orchid.
The groom's brother-in-law, Louis Berman, served as best
man. Rabbis Jacob Nathan and Moses Fisher and Cantor Katzman
officiated.
Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Adolf Lieberman
of Philadelphia, Mrs. Andor Stern. Mrs. Irma Stern and Mr. and
Mrs. Julius Stanford of New York City.
Follo ,, :ing the ceremony, a buffet dinner was served in the
reception hall.
The bridal couple were guests of the Edgewitter Beach Hotel
in Chicago. They plan to make their home in Detroit as Mr. Brod
is now stationed in the city.
