"Palestine Speaks"
On Station CKLW

"Palestine Speaks," the weekly
radio program which tells the
story of Palestine to the Ameri-
can people, may now be heard
every Saturday night at 10
o'clock over Station CKLW.
The brightest stars of stage,
screen and radio are heard week-
ly throughout the nation in these
radio programs which tell the
story Of the building of the Jew-
ish homeland and of the work
of the Zionist Organization of
America.
Gene Kelly, Joseph Schild-
kraut, Joseph Cotten and Ben
Grauer are among the stars who
have given their talent to this
program.
"We owe it to the enterprise
of the Zionist Organization of
Windsor, Ont., and especially to
its leader, Harry Rosenthal, that
the people of Detroit can now
regularly hear these stirring ra-
dio dramas called 'Palestine
Speaks,"' declared Rabbi Leon
Frain.

Annual Young Israel
Meeting Wednesday

Beginning its 23rd year as a
religious, cultural and social or-
ganization, Young Israel will
elect officers at its annual meet-
ing at 9 p. m. Wednesday, June
6, at Yeshivath Beth Yehudah.
A report of Young Israel's proj-
ects, activities and progress dur-
ing the last year and plans for
Charles T. Gellman, president of
the future will be presented by
Young Israel.
This year's annual meeting
finds Young Israel in the midst
of a drive for an Orthodox Jew-
ish Center, which will house its
