LEWISOHN
LONDON (Palcor).—S. S. Sil-
verman, M.P., asked Colonial
Secretary Oliver Stanley whether
survivors of German concentra-
tion camps who have relatives
in Palestine willing to receive
them, will be allowed to go
there. Ile declared that the Jew-
ish community in Palestine is
prepared to maintain 800 or-
phaned children from the Bu-
chenwald camp and asked if the
children will be permitted to
proceed to Palestine and be
dealt with apart from the White
Paper limits.
In reply, Colonial Secretary
Stanley asserted. that he was in
favor of immigration within the
limits of the White Paper, and
that the quota of immigrants yet
to enter under the White Paper
would fully cover the 800 chil-
dren.
The question was asked if, af-
ter Germany's defeat, there is
any reason why German Jews
shouldn't live in Germany, to
which Silverman replied:
"Will you bear in mind that
999 out of 1,000 Jews of Ger-
man origin will never go back
there, whether they are let into
Palestine or whether they are
drowned in the Mediterranean as
has been done."

will not get a seat at the Con-
ference.
Mr. Frazer stated that it was
decided not to discuss Palestine
at the Conference and that no
attempt will be made to make
changes in the status of Palestine
at present.
