Meets This Sunday

The Women's Michigan Bnai
Brith Council will hold its meet-
ing at the Belcrest Hotel this
Sunday. The session will start
at 10:30 a. m. and culminate
at 4 p. m., with a luncheon
scheduled at 12:30.
Delegates from the various aux-
iliaries in the state will attend.
Presidents and special chairmen
will give complete reports of ac-
tivities.

To Plan Activities

A general membership meeting
of the Congregation Bnai Moshe
Sisterhood will be held at 1 p.
m. Monday.

NEW YORK — To establish
a broad alliance of Jewish com-
munities throughout the world
in the presentation of a postwar
program of the Jewish people,
the American Jewish Conference,
the Board of Deputies of Brit-
ish Jews and the World Jewish
Congress have joined in inviting
Russian and South African Jews
to participate in a Joint Com-
mittee, to draft and present it
common program to the San
Francisco conference of he Unit-
ed Nations.
The Joint Committee, which
now consists of representatives
of the Board, the Conference
and the Congress, will meet in
New York in mid-April.
Cables were sent to the South
African Jewish Board of Depu-
ties and, through the Jewish
Anti-Fascist Committee in Mos-
cow, to the Jewish Community
of the USSR, inviting both par-
ties to participate in the mid-
April meeting. Invitations to
other Jewish communities are
under consideration.
Drafting committees have been
appointed to prepare memoranda
dealing with the general Jewish
position and measures to be tak-
en for the rehabilitation of war-
torn Jewry, and other memo-
randa specifically dealing with
the problem of human rights and
fundamental freedoms, under the
Dumbarton Oaks proposals, the
question of protection of minor-
ity rights and the status of man-
dated countries.
In all 'natters relating to Pal-
estine general support will be
given to the Jewish Agency.
