of a bill which is to be intro-
duced into Congress and into
the state legislatures, which
would make the spreading of
anti-Semitism a crime. This bill
will be introduced at the present
session of the Michigan legisla-
ture.
Golditch asserted that the
Nazis were spending 300 million
dollars a • year to spread anti-
Semitism and that the Nazis
vre still training leaders in the
spreading of anti-Semitic propa-
ganda and using anti-Semitism
as a world weapon. The Ger-
mans are relying on anti-Semi-
tism to save their hides and get
them a softer peace, Golditch
declared.
He also warned that postwar
economic stresses and unemploy-
ment may play into the hands
of demagogs and rowdies who
use anti-Semitism to further
their interests. This element
would like to use anti-Semitism
as a weapon to split labor and
religious groups in Detroit.

uals some of them observe. Igor
Gorin's good luck token is a song
which the popular young bari-
tone tries to include on every
program he sings, either as one
of the scheduled numbers or as
an encore.
A folk song of the Ukraine,
where Gorin was born, it is called
"Viut Vitre," Russian for
"Stormy Breezes." It never fails
to thrill the listeners. "Viut
Vitre" will be on Gorin's pro-
gram for the Halevy 20th Jubi-
lee Concert Sunday night, Feb.
4, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral
of Masonic Temple.
Hearing his mother sing "Viut
Vitre" to him was one of Igor
Gorin's earliest memories and
the song is closely associated
with his Ukranian childhood.
In addition to "Viut Vitre,"
Igor Gorin's portion of the Hal-
evy concert will include the fol-
lowing selections, some of which
will be sung in Yiddish or Heb-
rew: "Troppo Soavi I. Gusti" by
Cavalli, "She Never Told Her
Love," by Haydn, Aria'and Death
Scene of Rodrigo from "Don
Carlos" by Verdi, "Prayer" by
Bogoroff, "Kaddish" by Engel,
"Meyerke, Mein Sohn," arranged
by Persin, and "To the Little
Star" by Moussorgsky.
"To achieve statehood and
to enable the Jewish people to
live a life of freedom in their
ancient home," he said, "we
shall have need of united ef-
forts of the Jews in Palestine
and of Zionists the world
over.
