Joins United SynagogS

The board of trustees of the
Northwest Hebrew Congregation
and Center at their monthly
meeting at the home of first vice
president, Max Goldsmith, last
Monday announced affiliation
with the United Synagogue of
America, the parent organiza-
tion of all conservative congre-
gations in the country.
A report was made by the
building committee that negotia-
tions for purchase of the site
for the synagogue had been
practically completed. An an-
nouncement will be made at the
open general meeting on Mon-
day, Jan. 29, at the Bagley
Scohol, corner of Curtis and
Roselawn.
Fred M. Butzel will be the
principal speaker, and there will
bea short musical program fol-
lowed by a regular meeting of
the Congregation.
Plans are also being prepared
for the early opening of the
Congregation's Sunday and Heb-
rew schools.
The public is invited both . to
the Sabbath services and to the
open general meeting.
