fund raising undertaking. The
project was initiated on the occa-
sion of the celebration of the
50th birthday of the founding
president of the Temple, Morris
Garvett. At that time, the Sis-
terhood decided to honor Mr.
Garvett by providing the means
with which to furnish a lounge,
to be known as the Morris Gar-
vett Lounge, in the new Temple
building.
Mrs. Millman and her co-chair-
man, Mrs. Morton Snyder, an-
nounce that the project closes
formally with the Dec. 11 meet-
ing of the Sisterhood, and that
the receipts so far reported are
very gratifying.
However, because this project
is in the nature 01 a permanent
recording of the names of mem-
bers and friends of members, and
because so many new families
have joined the congregation ros-
ter this season, it is announced
by Mrs. Samuel B. Danto, Sis-
terhood president, that for these
members, may call Mrs. Danto
or the committee chairman and it
will be arranged that napkins
be mailed to them immediately
with instructions so that their
families may be recorded in this
manner which ultimately will take
the fo,m of a beautiful banquet
cloth.
This project, like all other fund
raising projects of the Sister-
hood, is sponsored by the ways
and means committee, of which
Mrs. Arthur J. Hass, one of the
vice presidents, is chairman.
War Bonds may be purchased
at all Sisterhood meetings, Mrs.
Randolph Weber announces.
