Blockade to be Eased
in Countries Admitting
Hungarian Jewish Children

LONDON (WNS) — Neutral
countries affected by the Allied
blockade will be permitted to
receive additional food and sup-
plies if they admit the Jewish
children under the age of 10
whom Regent Horthy of Hungary
has offered to release, Dingle
Foot, Parliamentary secretary
for the Ministry of Economic
Warfare, told the House of Com-
mons this week.
Disclosing that the British
Government was anxious to do
everything possible to speed the
rescue of the Jewish children,
Dingle Foot said that no word
had yet been received from any
of the neutral countries on their
willingness and readiness to re-
ceive the Jewish children. He
noted, however, that Sweden and
Switzerland had always been co-
operative in rescue work in the
past.
