nounce the marriage of their daughter, Eunice, to Cpl. Walter
Strauss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Strauss of Grand Ave. on Sat-
urday evening, Aug. 12. The ceremony was read by Rabbi Jay
Kaufman of Temple Beth El and was followed by a reception in the
Regency room at the Wardell, about 100 guests attending.
The maid of honor was Mildred Rothschild and was the bride's
only attendant. Alfred Strauss, the groom's brother, was his best
man, and Werner Ostheimer and Robert Weitzman served as ushers.
Cpl. and Mrs. Strauss left immediately after the reception for
Louisville, Ky., where they will make their residence while the
groom is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Rice
received word of the birth of
a granddaughter, Aug. 12. Mrs.
Rice is flying to Los Angeles to
