Association Goes Over
Top in Bond Campaign

The Twelfth Street Merch-
ants, under the chairmanship of
Jack Halperin and Nathan
Schecter. have gone over the
top in the 5th War Loan Drive,
and have sold $510,000.00 in E
Bonds. These bonds were issued
and personally delivered by the
merchants of this street. Jack
Halperin wishes to thank the
many Gallants and business men
of Twelfth Street for their ef-
fort in helping this successful
campaign. He also wishes to
thank the many societies in this
section that have helped to put
this bth Loan Drive over.

Kozenn, who are at present vaca-
tioning in Lake Placid, N. Y.,
have been invited to present a
program of Hebrew music at the
annual donor affair of the Lake
Placid Chapter of the American
Jewish Congress. The guest
speakers will be Dr. and Mrs.
Stephen Wise.

A one-day drive to raise funds
for Yeshivath Chachmey Lublin
has been arranged for Sunday.

proprietors in Mt. Clemens. Ap-
peals will be made in the follow-
ing hotels: Feldman's Arthusa
Hotel, Riverside Hotel, Olympia
Hotel, Plaza Hotel, New Glen-
wood Hotel, Kahn's Hotel, New
Villa Hotel, Albany Hotel, New
York Hotel, Altman's Hotel.
A committee of Detroit rabbis
and members of the Yeshivah
board will get in touch person-
ally with the guests of the Mt.
Clemens hotels and explain to
them the importance of Yeshi-
with Chanchmey Lublin in De-
troit. Mt. Clemens Jews are ex-
pected to respond to the Yeshi-
vah call as they did last year.
The Yeshivah at present houses
fully 70 students from various
states. Also a preparatory and
English department are being
operated under the supervision of
Yeshivath Chachmey Lublin. The
present annual budget of the
Yeshivah is close to $50,000.
The financial condition of the
Seminary is desperate and imme-
diate help must be obtained.
