These concerts are turning into
a thumping success and anybody

stodgy is depriving himself of a
pleasant evening. The setting is
perfect and there are no dis-

Organizations Now Taking
Part in Serving Sunday
Breakfasts to Service Men

The Detroit Lodge Auxiliary of
the Bnai Brith sponsored the
Sunday morning bagel and lox
breakfast, June 18. These weekly
breakfasts take place for service
men and women each Sunday
morning at the USO Lounge in
the Jewish Community Center.
The following women served:
Mesdames Morton Gottesman,
Milton Gottesman, Arthur Gottes-
man Sam Brown.
Any organization that wishes
to sponsor and personally take
part in any of these breakfasts
will be scheduled by calling Madi-
.on 8400, Miss Fineman.

Members of Detroit Jewish
congregations, organizations, and
other communal groups are in-
vited i to attend a memorial meet-
ing in honor of the late Mrs.
Michle Eiseman, wife of Rabbi
Joseph Eisenman of Congrega-
tion Beth Tefilo Emanuel.
The departed Rebitzin Eisen-
man was active in various phil-
anthropic and religious organiza-
tions. She was affiliated among
other institutions with Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah, Beth Jacob Reli-
gious School for Girls, Lechem
Aneeim, Women's League for
Sabbath Observance, Women of
Zion Mizrachi, Rabbinical Col-
lege Yeshivath Ohel Torah of
Baranowicze, and many others.
Those who were present at the
funeral of Mrs. Eisenman and
listened to the various eulogies
of local rabbis and laymen ap-
preciate the great loss suffered
by the many religious and cul-
tural groups, with whom the late
Mrs. Eisenman was closely con-
nected.
The wish has been expressed
by members of the family and
many friends of the departed to
honor the memory of this out-
standing Jewish woman in the
creation of a fund with the De-
troit Beth Jacob Religious School
for Girls as beneficiary. The Beth
Jacob movement, which stands
for the religious education of
Jewish daughters, was always
close to her heart and it best
represents the ideals the departed
lived un to during her rich Jewish
life. The memorial service, to be
held in Congregation Beth Tefilo
Emanuel (Taylor and Woodrow
Wilson) July 6, 9 p. in,, will
mark the conclusion of the
"Sh'loshim," the 30 (lays of
mourning. A prominent Detroit
cantor will render the Memorial
Prayer. Rabbi Chaim Shereshev-
sky, president of the Beth Jacob
Teachers' Seminary of New York,
will come especially to address
the audience. All are invited.
