priorities, a refugee couple, Dora and Joseph Zarovich, are helping to
fill the gap for American youngsters with stuffed cotton animals. The
original dog was created by Mrs. Zarovich in Vienna as a birthday
present for a niece. It has become the basis of a flourishing business
in New York, established with the aid of the National Refugee Service,
whose work is financed by the United Jewish Appeal. More than 100
American workers are employed in making the Zarovich menagerie,
which now includes cats, lambs and other animals.
